Help Desk Services

Understanding the quality of surface water in the State of California is achieved through multiple projects, agencies and funding sources, both governmental and non-governmental. In spite of this variability, this data would ideally be combined to present a complete picture of the status of the state’s water quality. It is the intention of SWAMP to encourage comparability by providing participants with program-compatible database formats, management guidelines, and quality systems. The following links are provided to those parties interested in SWAMP comparability.

The Help Desk Database Services may include:

Direct callers to available resources such as web links or contact information

Address questions regarding how to meet SWAMP Database comparability requirements

Distribution of a Replicable/Non-Replicable MS Access SWAMP Database shell

Limited Information/Technical support if interested party has organized into a group data management structure

QA Comparability - Contact Will Hagan at 206-525-0491

The Help Desk QA Services may include:

Direct callers to available resources such as web links or contact information

Address questions regarding how to meet SWAMP QA requirements

Provide advice on how to address elements of a QAPP

The Help Desk QA Services will not include:

Review and/or approval of QAPPs

Approval of methods/standard operating procedures

Resolution of issues regarding contractors (e.g., laboratories and/or sampling crews)

QA Officer services (e.g., data verification/validation, project/program decisions, corrective action issues, etc.)
