Location
The Marine Pollution Studies Laboratory is located in Moss Landing, CA at the mouth of Elkhorn Slough and the base of Monterey Bay. Santa Cruz is to the Northwest, Monterey is to the Southwest, and the fertile Salinas Valley is to the East.

Directions from Highway 1
From Highway 1 South or North, turn west (right or left) at Moss Landing Road (there is an exit on each side of town). Continue on this road until you see the RV park and Sandholdt Rd (it's the only other road in Moss Landing). Turn west (right or left) and continue across the one lane bridge and follow the road to the right. MPSL is located after the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI; large grey buildings with green roof) at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories' Norte facility (7544 Sandholdt Rd) on the left side of the road.

Directions from Highway 101
From Highway 101 north of Salinas, take the Highway 156 exit towards Monterey. Take the Castroville exit (Highway 183) and proceed west. The road will end at Highway 1 northbound. Proceed on Highway 1 about 3 miles and turn west (left) at Moss Landing Road (there is an exit on each side of town). Continue on this road until you see the RV park and Sandholdt Rd (it's the only other road in Moss Landing). Turn west (left) and continue across the one lane bridge onto the island. From Highway 101 south of Salinas, take the exit for Highway 183 to Castroville (Market Street) and travel west. Proceed on Market St through Salinas and it will turn into Highway 183. Take this highway through Castroville where it will end at Highway 1 northbound. Proceed on Highway 1 about 3 miles and turn west (left) at Moss Landing Road (there is an exit on each side of town). Continue on this road until you see the RV park and Sandholdt Rd (it's the only other road in Moss Landing). Turn west (left) and continue across the one lane bridge onto the island. Directions to Moss Landing Marine Laboratories - Main Building/Seminar Room
Follow directions to Moss Landing and turn onto Moss Landing Road. The main laboratory is located at 8272 Moss Landing Road and is located toward the south end of Moss Landing Road next to the cemetary. You will see a sign next to the road and a driveway going up the hill. Drive up this driveway and park in the dirt parking lot.
